By the
spring
of
1964
, there was an
immediate
need
for
additional

student
housing
. A
campus
master
plan
was
constructed
, and
following
the
Sisters
of
Mercy
moving
to their
new
convent
in
March
of that
year
,
crews
demolished
the
Greene
Mansion
,
which
needed
almost
one
million
dollars
in
renovations
to
survive
. A
new
dormitory
would be
built
on the
mansion's
old
location
; the
building
,
named
Regina
Hall
, was
dedicated
in
September
1965
and
accommodated
185
students
on
five
floors
.
Additional
space
offered
a
lounge
,
bookstore
,
lobby
,
social
rooms
, and an
enlarged
dining
area
.
